- JOIN US IN THE JUNGLE OF COSTA RICA
This is a unique and intimate experience, immersed in one of the most lush and biodiverse rainforests in the world! Join us for a dive into the juicy waters of our own inner words, where we'll practice, play, and transform right where the jungle meets the ocean.
We offer this healing guidance and space for you to connect deeper to yourself through yoga, breath work practices, reflective journaling, and holding ceremonial space. However, we've structured it so that there's time in the day to choose your own adventure.
There's more than enough to explore within the local landscape and you'll have an opportunity to pursue outside activities such as hiking, swimming, surfing, kayaking, exploring waterfalls, and admiring the exotic wild life. That being said, the focus of our gathering will be on the transformative work we are doing within the group and we highly encourage people to also utilize the time and space to relax, reflect, and simply soak in the beauty. Read a book and watch monkeys from a rooftop hammock, or hang in the pool and watch the waves and exotic birds.
We strongly encourage people to spend more time in the Matapalo area or other destinations in Costa Rica, before or after the retreat, to get the most out of what this amazing country has to offer. Don't hesitate to drop us any questions you may have about the retreat itself, or how to help you plan or extend your travels. We truly want you to get the most out of your experience and have lots of resources to help you do just that. Send us an email!

DESTINATION
This location of this retreat is very special not just for its gorgeous geographical location, but also because it is being held on one of the retreat guide's family property! Your host, Alisha grew up visiting this home and it has always been in the family, considering her Dad helped design and build the home itself. The name of the home is Villa La Familia, and we are keeping our first retreat held here small, to ensure a truly special and intimate experience.
We will be on the Osa Peninsula of southern Costa Rica, in a small, private surf town called Matapalo. This location is truly a hidden gem, you are essentially coming to a protected wildlife reserve, thanks to Costa Rica's ecological preservation of the adjacent Corcovado national park. It's known for its sustainability and most of the homes and lodges rely on solar energy, including ours. We visit this space with deep respect for the local wildlife, which include howler and spider monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, tapirs, turtles, and more!
PLEASE NOTE that due to the preservation of the biodiverse ecosystem, the nearest stores and restaurants available will be in the town of Puerto Jiminez that is the pick up location, which is 45 min away in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. This is why we are handling all your meals for you, but keep this in mind so that you can stock up on any extra goodies or necessary items at the store before we depart into the jungle! If you choose to rent a car you will of course have more options to explore during your free time, however it is not necessary, as we will be centrally located near amazing beaches and surf, nature hikes, and available outdoor activities.
The house is yours to soak up and enjoy during our gathering. There are hammocks on the expansive rooftop deck, indoor and out door seating/eating areas, and an essentially private beach with tide pools, right in our front yard. Sounds unreal? Just wait until you experience the magic for yourself!
This intimate gathering is not to be missed in such a beautiful and open space, deep in the heart of the Jungle!
